Look Who's One!

Baby B turned one in January. This was also the time that we found out we were moving in less than two weeks. So in between packing, finding renters, Ryan flying out to find a place to live, cleaning, scoping out new schools, getting utilities turned on etc etc, we had a birthday party for this cutie patootie. This is typical of the destruction she can cause within a few minutes of the bathroom door left open. She not only unrolls the whole roll, but she also begins to tear it into tiny shreds.
Her actual birthday was on a Tuesday but her party was planned for the weekend when Grandma Diana flew into town for this sole occasion. So on her real birthday we celebrated with doughnuts and chocolate milk for breakfast.
YEAH!!!!
Here she is in her new car seat.
I had to snap a pic of her doing this. She was NOT a fan of the sun in her eyes.
We had a birthday party/going away party on Sunday.
Mmmmmm cake...
We were so glad to have Grandma fly into town for Brooklyn.
At the age of One Brooklyn:
  • says mama and dada but mimicks a lot more sounds
  • has taken a step here and there unassisted, but basically runs around the walls and couches
  • has an infectious smile and laugh
  • loves to meddle with Boston in every way possible
  • gives kisses when asked
  • wears 12-18 month clothes
  • loves her mama, but has a special affection for her daddy
  • she is very vocal and specific on what foods she wants (or doesn't want) as well as who needs to hold her
  • loves her siblings to death
  • has a new love for Sadie's teddy bear
  • she has 8 teeth
I can't get enough of this baby girl. She is seriously darling and most of the time she is a really chill baby. She can play on her own for a little while, but likes to be near others. I love her curiosity even though that means she gets into every cupboard and shelf within her reach like nobody's business. She is seriously the best addition to our family!
