Mission Reunion
April 5, 2013
We were really excited to go to the Caracas, Venezuela mission reunion in Salt Lake. We went to one six or seven years ago, but this one was pretty special. We still got to see old mission buddies, but President and Sister Webb were there this time. It was a special treat to have them come. After we ate some delicious Venezuelan food, they sat us in a big circle so they could bear their testimonies to us and give further advice. I'm sure it was reminiscent of the mission for Ryan. It was fun for me because I got a little taste of what Ryan experienced in the field. I felt like I was part of the mission family even though I didn't serve with them. The Webbs are very loving and welcoming.
I had to capture these two sharing ideas. They aren't talking about fun memories in this picture, these two are talking about how to further the work of the kingdom. They have a drive to help the saints progress. I really admire that about these two great men. Love you honey! xoxo

More March...
We decided to go out to In-n-out for dinner. As we were walking in, Ryan and I heard a sound akin to a muffled bleating sound. I attributed it to an unusual baby cry and continued inside. Ryan asked me if I had heard the baby goat, and I said it was very unlikely that it was a goat. After we ordered food, he went to investigate despite my opinion. Lo and behold, he found a car with a whole bunch of livestock. He walked around the restaurant trying to find the owner so Sadie could see the animals more closely.
She got to hold two different goats, a duckling, and a chick. My husband pretty much rocks.

It's a Dad thing...
I'm not sure exactly what compels dads everywhere to be adventurous, but I'm glad they have those tendencies. This boring old mom refused to participate on this particular adventure. Sadie asked to have a pickle and peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Of course, Ryan couldn't say no.
Sadie actually ate her whole sandwich. She said she liked it. Oh, and for the record, Ryan privately admitted that it was terrible. What a cutie for trying it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Sadie and I had fun planning out the holiday. We decided to make shamrock necklaces for everyone. We dyed the noodles and cut out everything the day before. She was very helpful making about 10 necklaces for various family members.
Sadie helped me plan our green meal. We had green smoothies, green muffins, and green quiche. Quiche is on the top of Sadie's list of favorite dinners.
We went to my parent's house later and celebrated with Auntie Kyrsten. I also snapped the shot of the kids snuggling in Grandma's bed. Sadie, Payton, Jessica, and Boston are good buddies!
