Jubilee of July
We had a neighborhood water balloon fight. Every family was supposed to bring their own ammunition, and there were literally thousands of water balloons at this party. It was a blast!
I was too lazy to fill up water balloons, so I just brought a few buckets of water and water guns. It was perfect for the little kids who can't really aim anyway.
Cynthia's family were the all stars. They probably had a thousand water balloons alone!
After the water fight, we did slip n slides. It was great fun!
We've never seen such a tiny lizard! It must have just hatched.
Ooooh I love these kids!
We went to the I.D.E.A. Museum. It's either indoor activities or the pool for us during the summer!
We went with our friends, Liam, Zoey, and AJ Allen. I guess I only got a group picture during lunch!
Funny story: Ryan was going to the store and asked what to pick up. I said, "Call me if there is a good deal on fresh fruit." What he heard was, "Take care of your family by buying all the fruit you can for a great deal." He certainly DID get a good deal...but he brought home 20 lbs. of strawberries and 10 lbs. of blueberries! Haha!
I guess that means it's time to go to work! Ryan and the kids made an assembly line to freeze some of the strawberries.
We used the straw trick that I saw on facebook and it worked perfectly! It saved time and it saved a big portion of the strawberry too! Why haven't I been doing this all my life?
While they were working on that, I was working on making jam! Yum!
Aunt Ashley adopted a 2 week old kitty and brought her over. The kids fell in love at first sight.
My kids are now affronted if Ashley shows up without the cat!
Sadie was very clever. Ashley hadn't decided what to name the kitty yet and Sadie suggested "Bella". Ashley wasn't so sure, so Sadie continued to advertise the name. She said, "You could use it in so many different ways. She could be Belle, Bella, and CinderBella! She's even the color of cinder!"
Boston had been working with his Occupational Therapist for about 5 months before school started. He loved working with Miss Hilary.
We went as a family to Sunsplash water park. We left to go eat dinner, but within minutes the kiddos were passed out.
Sadie is my big helper on Sundays. Oh how I need and love her.
Sadie prevailed upon her name suggestion and Belle is her official name.
We went to the Moore's house to swim one day. Brooklyn was exceptionally weepy and difficult to manage, so I made her go sit in the swing with Brother Moore.
She fell asleep! It was so cute.
Whooee! July was HOT and EXHAUSTING! I definitely don't miss you July, I am officially a winter person now. (As long as I'm in Phoenix.)

Jaunting through June
Ryan took Boston with him to Camp Helaman so the girls had to go have fun too. We went to the Phoenix Children's museum. They loved it!
It was tough to get a good picture of Brooklyn because she was constantly running.
On the second floor they had an art area. They got to paint this robot.
Brooklyn, Charlotte, Sadie and Thomas had fun during our play date.
We went to an indoor arena football game for the Arizona Rattlers. It was my first time attending arena football. I have to admit that I did not enjoy arena football. The field is too short to have any real competition.
But I did enjoy the company! :)
Silly Brooklyn wouldn't take off her sunglasses the whole game.
For Family Home Evening we made a temple out of recyclables. Here is Sadie drawing the Angel Moroni.
I was impressed with her artistic skills.
The kids helped design it and told Daddy what to do.
Then each kiddo wanted a picture with it.
He's my favorite.
Sadie and her best friend, Genevieve, did a dance camp together. The girls had a blast trying ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, acro, and conditioning class.
Dad found a fun project to make with the kids. This catapult turned out difficult for the kids to put together, but they loved the results.
More swim lessons
We also made lots of visits to the library while school was out. We have been on a kick of listening to audio books in the car. We spend WAAY too much time driving to our various activities. The audio books make these trips much more enjoyable. Anyway, the library has a little dress up area for kids and Boston's face is hilarious!
