10 Year Reunion

I have to say facebook can really kill the fun of some class reunions, but it didn't for Ryan's 10 year reunion! We both had so much fun! It was kind of funny because I was the only pregnant lady there, so I was kind of a novelty. Tons of people would come up and talk to me even if they didn't know Ryan. Everyone was super friendly that I had a blast! I was worried it would be super boring for me, but I have to credit Ryan's friends, they were really fun!

We were pooped after a night of dancing and socializing, but the party didn't stop with us until after 2 am. It's been a long time since we were out on the town that late. I hope Ryan can have as much fun at my reunion!

Canning

So I've always felt that canning was an old person thing to do and that I'd try it when I was retired. It never occurred to me how practical it is for someone with a garden. Lucky for me, my fresh, young friend Michelle helped teach me the ways of canning. :) THANK YOU MICHELLE! It was so much fun and now we are super stoked about more food storage too! Here are pics of our "domesticity".
Look at those beautiful tomatoes from our garden!
So apparently you aren't supposed to can salsa, you should pressure cook it. Well Ryan made some pretty sweet salsa which we canned, so I hope we don't die.
Yummy peaches!
More salsa courtesy of my cute hubby. I've also done plain tomatoes. I have to admit it was kinda fun canning and I am definitely going to do it again next year!!!

The CIRCUS!!!

Back in high school, my best friend went to the circus. She told me all about it and how it really was the best show on earth. I haven't forgotten and I've really wanted wanted to go ever since. Ryan surprised us one day and took us to the circus! I was more excited than a lot of the children there. :)
I was surprised how well Sadie was behaved. It was a 3 hour show with one intermission, but she seemed to be engaged most of the time.
We loved all of the acrobatics, contortionists, and aerialists. We would ask Sadie, what did you see at the circus and she'd get wide-eyed and say , "GUYS!" We are pretty sure she was referring to these guys!
She LOVED the elephants and would ask where they were every time they were off stage.

It was so much fun! Thanks for the surprise baby!
