Hurricane of a weekend
Ryan and Sadie took a super quick trip to an undisclosed location for his Aunt Patti's wedding. The torrent continues with the homecoming of his brother, Nate, a bridal shower for his sister, Brittney, a birthday for his other sister, Ashley, frisbee golf, canoeing, and hiking. And it all happened in one weekend!!
Here is the bridal party. We are so so happy for you Auntie Patti!

Welcome home Elder Alkema!!
Hiking isn't hiking without finding lizards!
Sadie became a member of the banana slug club! (She keeps telling me how the slime stayed on her lips after the kiss and how gross it was. :) But you know she loved it!)
It is nigh impossible for Ryan to go hiking without finding a snake either.
Sadie remarked every 20-30 seconds how much fun it was while canoeing.
What a fun daddy-daughter weekend!
They also went to a "feather farm". Here is Rich having a ball.

Nate, Mom, Dad, Brittney, Bryce, Sadie, Ryan and Ashley. What a wonderful weekend!
Happy Easter!
This was the best shot I could get of the two. Silly kiddos.
Mmmm...good!
Sadie's new stash!
We had an Easter egg hunt at 2:00pm. Of course Sadie was asking every five minutes since dawn if it was time to go to the egg hunt. No Sadie, it is not time!!! On the drive over I prepared her to run as fast as she can to gather eggs. I also reminded her not to open the eggs until they had been gathered. Anyway… we get there and there are a ton of eggs. Luckily they have age areas so the older kids don’t get them all. Luckily also, my Dad was there to help. (It was at the country club.) Boston was a handful and exceptionally whiney. I’m not sure why, but he was difficult to handle. So I had my dad with Sadie and me with Boss. They said, “GO!” and I help Boston gather 3 eggs and Sadie is just standing at the start crying. She was too overwhelmed because of the other kids taking all the eggs, so she didn’t even try. She thought they were all gone just because she couldn’t see them. By the time I convinced her to run, they really were out of eggs. So I gave her two from Boston and a nice lady gave her two eggs because she was crying. While I calmed her down, my Dad found 5 other eggs for her. Ah geez, she had 9 eggs, none of which she got on her own. Fail.
Luckily they had cotton candy for everyone after. That appeased her a little. On the car ride home she kept mentioning how she was crying. I felt so bad. Luckily we still had an egg hunt planned at home just for her!
Nursery Rhyme Preschool
We had a fun class on nursery rhymes. We made spiders to go with Little Miss Muffet. We wove green and yellow baskets to go with A Tisket A Tasket. The kids had a great time rhyming too!

Looking Dapper
Isn't he so handsome? He's even got my cell phone to top his sophisticated look.
Thanks for the outfit Grandma Diana!
I had to preserve my cell phone and this is his reaction. :)
Happy St. Patrick's Day
We had a delightful breakfast put on by the Eyres. Even though Ryan was working like crazy and the weather was yucky, we still managed to have a fun day.
