Heading into 2014!
We never made it to Temple Square before Christmas, so we decided to go the day after Christmas because Ryan had the day off. It was a ghost town. Seriously, no one was there and it was perfect! We didn't have to worry if our kids would get lost in the crowd, but we still had all the decorations and wonderful spirit! I'd suggest it to anyone. Here's our family at the Temple doors.
Visiting the old tabernacle
And visiting The Christus was a wonderful way to tie everything in that we've been teaching our kids about the true meaning of Christmas.
I get emotional when I look at this picture. It makes a tad overwhelmed when I think of the responsibility we have as parents to teach our kids truth.
Afterward we went to a train store in Salt Lake. We heard there was a mini train that you can ride. Perfect for Boston.
Love this girl
What a stud!
We rang in the new year with the Browns. I have to say we are kindred spirits. As you will see in following pictures, we are a bunch of weirdos. But the great thing about this friendship is that we LOVE it. I bought these 2014 glasses and was mildly embarrassed at the checkout. Yes, they are for my friends and me, not my children.
We FREAKING love these guys!
When the kids are in bed, our favorite thing to do is hang out with Camille and Briant. This particular night we got all fancy with our beverages and had some mocktails. We also had wonderful appetizers, desserts, and games. We couldn't think of a better way to ring in 2014!
