Observing October

Soccer practices and games were a lot of fun.
Genevieve and Boston had a game the same day.
We made the 90 min drive to Tonto National Monument with the Heuers
Boston and Thomas
We packed lunch
And found lizards
The hike wasn't long, but it was VERTICAL and it was HOT!!! Luckily the ancient ruins were on the side of the cliff where it was shady.
Learning about the Native Americans that lived here
The kids became Junior Rangers and promised to keep the earth clean.
Beautiful Roosevelt Lake
It is hard to see, but Boston's hair is colored purple. It was crazy hair day at school.
I'm so proud of Boston earning Student of the Month! He had a difficult transition into Kindergarten, but he has grown so much. He is able to cope with all the stimulation at school with poise. He is managing his 'big feeelings' better and better every day.
Boston got to eat a pizza lunch with the Principle and Daddy even came!
Ryan and I did a 10K/Obstace Terrain Race. For any of you that know me, this was a big deal. First, I am WEAK SAUCE and I hate strength training. Second, I hate running. I'd much rather be dancing. :) It took a lot of mental effort for me to train for it, but we had a lot of fun.
Obligatory carving pumpkins and taking pictures:
We had Caroline over to make Frankenstein Rice Krispies
We had our Primary Program in October. Boston did a great job with his part and singing as always. Sadie went above and beyond this year. She played two songs for the prelude music and one of them was directly from the Children's Songbook. She played 'Reverently, Quietly', she sang a duet with Saydee Stoor, and she did her part.
From oldest to youngest: Batman, Wonder Woman, Captain America Girl, Thor, Super Girl, and Spiderman
Don't judge my lack of editing skills. :)
It was a seriously fun month!
