2014 Halloween

I must say Arizona knows how to party for Halloween. The ward puts on a pretty cool carnival every year. They had bouncy houses, a cake walk, a dunk tank, popcorn vendor, fresh scones, a trunk-or-treat and a chili cook off. It was a blast. To our great surprise, my chili got 3rd place in the chili cook off. I wasn't there for the announcement, but Ryan heard it and had to double check if that was right! We laughed about it because I'm really not know for my culinary skills. :) The only thing that was weird to me was that the party wasn't on Halloween. Isn't the whole point of a trunk-or-treat to keep kids in a safe and local area for Halloween? Let's add that in with the preschool parties, grade school parties, and the real Halloween. Sounds like diabetes to me. We are seriously creating a culture of sugar addiction for our children. Ok...I'm done with my rant.

Here is my cute family!

They also had a barrel pull for the kids to ride around the field.
Sadie designed her own jack-o-lantern face.
Here is Boston's preschool class. He did NOT like the mask so I was lucky to get a picture of him with it. Can you tell that the ninja turtles were popular this year?
