Independence Day

Despite the happy pictures, this outing was an epic fail. Since Ryan works late, I decided I could get the kids up and out to the parade by myself. One negative experience after another led to our late arrival. Not to worry, it took another 40 minutes for the parade to reach us. By that time, neither child wanted to be there. They were "done" with this outing before they even saw a minute of the parade.

We ended up leaving after 30 minutes of the parade. I tried to be a fun mom, but this mom decided we aren't doing any more parades until they are older.
