I saw a picture of the name Brady Kay Howell on my
friend's blog a couple weeks ago. I was totally surprised and excited at the same time. That was the name of my cousin's husband who had been killed in the September 11th attacks. I couldn't imagine what connection my friend had to him, so immediately we sent messages back and forth about it. She didn't have any connection to him at all. We both really feel like she was guided by the Holy Ghost to take a picture of it because there were 184 different names she could have photographed to illustrate the symbology of the
Pentagon Memorial. She just happened to pick his name! I am so grateful she did take those pictures. It is a touching way to remember Brady on the 10th anniversary of the attacks. It also helped me to really appreciate and think about those who have served our country since it's beginning. I am so grateful to feel safe in our great nation. I am grateful for the everyday heroes that unite people together for good. I hope, I too, can serve our country by creating safe communities and educating my kids to help the future of our nation.
We miss you Brady.

I hope you guys go to the links I posted so you can read up more about the Memorial. There is a lot of symbology in honoring those who died there.

Erin, that is such an amazing story. How touching. I read about the memorial and its symbolism and it made me cry. What a beautiful tribute. Thank you so much for sharing.
That's awesome. I saw the link on your friend's blog describing the benches. What a wonderful tribute to those who fell. I can't believe you know someone who was asked to give their life on that day. Amazing. Truly amazing.
