First Dance Class

I feel like I've been waiting for this day forever, but really it's only been since the day I had the ultrasound when I was pregnant with Sadie. I think I was more excited than Sadie.

Sadie already knows chasse and arabesque, and by arabesque it really means attitude. Here is Sadie doing an "arabesque".

Sadie was sitting like this while all the other girls got into a butterfly stretch.

So the teacher tried to help, and got the evil eye from Sadie and a hearty, "DON'T TOUCH ME!!"

Since then the teacher has learned not to touch Sadie. That silly goose. She did not want to participate while dancing with scarfs or the umbrella later in the class. I am not at all surprised, she likes those things to be her idea. Hopefully she'll warm up to the teacher as she progresses.

I just love that cute little girl!
