This and that....

Ryan is such a cute dad. He is just so excited to go exploring with his kids, he just couldn't wait until Sadie was a little bit older to expose her to snakes. He caught this one right by our complex. Don't worry mothers out there. She only touched it for about 1 second.

This video was taken about a week ago and already she is way more proficient at walking with it. She doesn't steer very well and frequently gets stuck. I think its so funny how she yells at the end. Enjoy.

Why I love kids...

So I teach 4 classes of 3-5 year-olds and I also teach 4-5 year-olds in primary and here is some of the funny things I've heard lately:

1. In primary, the kids were asked if anyone could recite the fourth article of faith. One girl raised her hand. She promptly replied, "One hundred!" and then sat down.

2. I asked a 4 year old if she had any pets at home. She replied, "No, I'm allergic to monkeys."

3. We were talking about faith in primary and gave an example about how you can feel the wind, but you can't see the wind. One child responded, "My dad has bad breath ALL THE TIME!"

4. I asked a girl if she had any siblings and she replied, "I have a sister named Julie and a sister named Katie -- she bites."

Glorious Glorious Weather!!!

No, I am not referring to Utah weather. Here it will be sunny and 65 degrees and two days later it will snow 2-3 inches. We had to travel to Gilbert, AZ to catch some rays in the 80 degree weather. We were so stoked to have a real vacation and go see the Cardons. Above you see the manly men hefting the children around on a hike.
Sadie sporting her new swimsuit.

I'm pretty sure everyone loves Raeanna, and Sadie is no exception.
Oh how I long for those palm trees!!

Christopher is the biggest sweetheart and you can tell he has the best parents ever! He has tons of energy and is so smart too! It was so fun for Sadie to follow him around now that she can crawl. One thing Raeanna "forgot" to mention is how she conned us all into singing in Sacrament meeting. Well, I was up for it, but the boys weren't too happy about it. We used to do musical numbers all the time, but I guess they were a little rusty. :) It was a super fun trip!

FINALLY!!!

Well I know it has been a little ridiculous how long it has taken us to get with the program, but we are finally able to say that Sadie has reached some milestones. I can't believe she's had to wait 9 whole months to pet two sea lions, a yak, and have a kiss from a goat. I'm glad she is no longer deprived of these experiences. Enjoy.

As Promised...

I promised I would put up more videos, so here they are. Sadie has been so close to crawling for about a month, but she's finally figured it out! The first video was taken Friday, February 27th and the second video was taken today, 6 days later. And so the mischief begins!

9 Months Old

Nope, she's not crawling yet... but she is managing a sort of scoot. She'll for sure be crawling in the next couple weeks though. She's just so close!!!
Here are her stats:
Cuteness: 100th Percentile
Height: 28.25" 74th Percentile
Weight: 20.14 lbs 83rd Percentile

She looks so big holding her own sippy cup.

A shot of her newly budding teeth on top. It's been a rough two weeks getting those in. Plus we found out she has an ear infection on top of that! :(

So AMAZINGLY GROSS!

She is a natural at many yoga poses.

Her first time EVER falling asleep in the high chair. I couldn't resist taking a pic!

Valentines Day!

My darling husband and I had a fantastic night! I really wanted to go to the Cheesecake Factory, but unfortunately they don't take reservations so there was a 3 hour wait. So we decided to just go to the mall for dinner, and boy was that the best decision! We both got whatever food we wanted and then we people-watched! We played games like whoever sees the first nose-ring wins etc. for about 2 hours. It was hilarious. We also realized we have never done the booth pictures together as a couple and thought this was our chance.

After that we went to the Murray Arts Center for some dancing!! We had an hour long lesson on swing dancing and then opened the floor up for whatever. They had a live band and they played all sorts of songs. We got to practice our Cha-Cha, Waltz, and Swing skills. I was super impressed with Ryan's leading. We haven't danced formally since we had a couples ballroom class at BYU in 2005, so it was so fun to brush up on what we remembered without any pressures. SO FUN!!!

I love you babe!!!!
