More March...

We decided to go out to In-n-out for dinner. As we were walking in, Ryan and I heard a sound akin to a muffled bleating sound. I attributed it to an unusual baby cry and continued inside. Ryan asked me if I had heard the baby goat, and I said it was very unlikely that it was a goat. After we ordered food, he went to investigate despite my opinion. Lo and behold, he found a car with a whole bunch of livestock. He walked around the restaurant trying to find the owner so Sadie could see the animals more closely.
She got to hold two different goats, a duckling, and a chick. My husband pretty much rocks.

It's a Dad thing...

I'm not sure exactly what compels dads everywhere to be adventurous, but I'm glad they have those tendencies. This boring old mom refused to participate on this particular adventure. Sadie asked to have a pickle and peanut butter sandwich for lunch. Of course, Ryan couldn't say no.
Sadie actually ate her whole sandwich. She said she liked it. Oh, and for the record, Ryan privately admitted that it was terrible. What a cutie for trying it.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Sadie and I had fun planning out the holiday. We decided to make shamrock necklaces for everyone. We dyed the noodles and cut out everything the day before. She was very helpful making about 10 necklaces for various family members.
Sadie helped me plan our green meal. We had green smoothies, green muffins, and green quiche. Quiche is on the top of Sadie's list of favorite dinners.
We went to my parent's house later and celebrated with Auntie Kyrsten. I also snapped the shot of the kids snuggling in Grandma's bed. Sadie, Payton, Jessica, and Boston are good buddies!

Brooklyn's Blessing

Brooklyn's blessing turned out to be a really great event. We had 5 babies born in our ward the first two weeks in January (not to mention the many other babies to be blessed), so we decided to have the blessing at our clubhouse. We had many loved ones attend from near and far. We felt so loved. I must say that this tiny babe has a divine mission here on earth and she is one special little lady.
I am so grateful for the amazing men in my life. My husband is an amazing father and has so much good to give.
This picture is a 4 generations of women that have and will (hopefully) serve the Lord.

Fun with Grandpa and Grandma

Papa Rich and Grandma Diana came into town from California to be here for Brooklyn's blessing. We wanted to make a stop at their hotel's pool. It just happened to be the first time Brooklyn has ever been to a pool. You may notice that pretty much every picture I post of Boston is of him crying. This is unfortunately the only pictures we have of our dear child. It is a very rare thing to have a picture of him smiling. And just to clarify, some of the pictures that he looks like he's smiling, he's still crying. Oh well, hopefully he'll grown out of it and start enjoying the fun things we do as a family.
I love the last two pictures. Like father, like son. I am so glad they have so much fun together.
And I'm so glad I can have fun with my hubby. He's one awesome man.

Happy Valentines Day!

Valentine's Day is the day Brooklyn turned one month old. It was a really great day to celebrate the love I have for my family. Sometimes I feel like I will burst from so much love.
We had a fun play group activity for the neighborhood at our clubhouse. We had games, crafts, and of course, a valentine exchange.
I decided to do a yummy treat I saw on Pinterest. It was a strawberry, cream cheese filled tart. Truly an epic Pin-tastrophe.
Ryan and I had a really fun date that night. We went to Desert Star Playhouse to see a funny spoof on Star Wars/The Hobbit. We had yummy treats and lots of laughs.
