Dance Recital

The theme was "Dance through the Ages" and Sadie did a number from the 1940's called Dance Ballerina. The end of year recital is the most fun performance of the year, and it was so fun to have Sadie in it this year! This is the only picture we got because I was just too darn busy backstage. I was so proud of Sadie and all my dancers. The recital this year was really a lot of work, but it ended up going really smoothly. I received all these beautiful bouquets from my dancers, I felt so loved. I sure love my job!!!

I guess it's a tradition!

We went out for free fishing day again this year. We love going with Grandpa Dave!! This year was a little more fancy because we got a big breakfast from my parent's ward on location. The kids had a blast throwing rocks in the lake, chasing squirrels, and watching a duck squabble. Our dear Boston was not too happy when he accidentally fell into the lake fully clothed. It may have cut our trip a bit short. My dad did catch a fish, so when we got home we cooked it right up. So fun!

"Please Mom, can we go swimming?"

Sadie asks me if we can go swimming every day. Almost every hour of every day, in fact. I'd say we go 3-4 times a week since our pool opened. Sadie has become a little fish. She has started floating with no assistance. She then found out that she can kick her feet while floating. She's gone from 0 to 60 on this one. Now she yells at me every time I touch her while she is "swimming". She has gone the length of the pool all by herself floating on her back, kicking her feet. I am right there, but I worry she thinks she is safe and will go out on her own. Good thing this little guy is super chill in his floaty. I am just on high alert with Sadie refusing to wear or use floatation devices. Boston is usually tired of swimming earlier than Sadie. She could stay there all day. Here is Sadie's favorite lady! She adores Sister Hood and always weasels her into playing with her at the pool. I can't tell you how much I love this picture. It fills my heart with joy.

Happy 4th Birthday Sadie!!

Sadie had an ocean themed birthday party with a bunch of friends! First her guests had to walk into the seaweed to get to the party.
Ryan made these awesome fishy cupcakes.
They had shark sandwiches, fishy crackers...
And they found a sea creature when they ate their jello!
They painted the bottom of a bowl and then hung streamers off the side to make a jellyfish!
Eating lunch...
Izzy and Tatum
Payton, Aly, Erin, and Aliyah
Sophie and Sadie
The girls had to earn their crab bag by doing a crab walk race.
Sophie wasn't even scared of the shark!!
Neither was Sadie.
Ryan made this awesome "fishing" arena so the girls could fish out a prize.
Here he is explaining how to use the spongebob fishing pole.
Thanks Grandma Diana for the books and shoes!
And dress!
The girls could hardly contain themselves while Sadie opened gifts.
Here's Payton fishing for her goodie bag.
We also played beach bingo and watched a little bit of Finding Nemo while we cleaned up. It was a success overall with Ryan and me being outnumbered by so many 4 and 5 year olds.
